Dive sites such as the USS Liberty Wreck, Coral Garden, and The Drop Off.
You can also enjoy macro diving while observing small marine life.
All places are easily accessible from the beach.
The Liberty was used as a cargo ship during World War I and World War II. After being torpedoed by the Japanese, the Liberty headed toward the Tulamben coast.
In 1963, an earthquake caused by the eruption of Mount Agung pushed the ship into the sea, where it sank on its side and was forgotten until the early 1980s. For the past 50 years the ship has been in the water and the 120 meter long vessel is home to marine life of all colours, shapes and sizes. Don’t forget night diving! Each night, numerous parrotfish arrive at the wreck and sleep together in one large family (about 20 members).
The Uss Liberty reaches a length of 120 m.
She lies only 25 meters from the coast and the water depth is between 5 and 30 meters.
It is accessible to all levels and different divers. Beginners, novices, experienced divers, freedivers and snorkelers alike can enjoy this fascinating wreck.
